Amsterdam

This is a super delayed post. So, during the summer I went to Amsterdam with Ryan.
There are like super a lot of pictures, so I will try to keep writings short.....

Waiting at the Glasgow International Airport at like stupidly early in the morning.

Us.

Flying KLM

Sandwiches. Not bad.

That's us already in Amsterdam airport, taking the train to the city centre.

From Schiphol Airport.

On the way to Centraal Station

Outside Centraal Station

Canal with boats outside Centraal Station

Bicycle parking. You can tell how popular and extensive cycling is in Amsterdam.

If that's not enough, there's the bicycle flat.

On our way to find the hostel boat...

Floating Chinese restaurant.

Sea palace

Near the pier next to NEMO building (not the fish)

There it is!! Our hostel boat...looks small eh

Anna Maria II

On the boat

NEMO building

Lots of boats

Gloomy weather

Haha. I don't know what it means but it just looks like smelly stockings...

Exploring

Advert for renting bicycles. How creative!

A church. Nicolaaskerk

Zeedjik. Apparently a very much Chinese populated area, thus the Chinese words on top...

We got hungry and needed to have breakfast.

My hot chocolate

French toast with cheese. Tasty cheese!!!!

Maple syrup

Where we ate.

I think we were walking along Zeedijk...

It was the Gay Pride Parade a few days before.

Found a Malaysian restaurant!

A temple there too

Cannabis lolipops

The houses are so different

We went to check in the morning but the room wasn't ready yet so we left our luggage and went to have a walk outside. Now we're back... so this is the dining area

Toilet

Me in tiny room. Tiny.

Bathroom. Fantastic cause the pressure is so strong!!

Sink in our room

After a few hours of rest, we started our journey to explore Amsterdam

A museum in a boat

Just another floating restaurant

We decided to go on a canal cruise

Huge boat next to us

After the canal cruise, we went walking around Damrak. Stumbled upon a cheese shop.... and they have samples and gosh, they are amazing. Gouda anyone?

The oldest sex museum in Europe supposedly.

We didn't try it but there were an awlful lot of people queuing but anyway, they were selling chips with mayonnaise.

Finally seen a Catholic church. As below.

We were then really tired and hungry, so we went to get food. Hmmm Italian. Mushroom pizza, mine.

Onion pizza - Ryan's

At night, we went to the Red Light District, didn't think it was allowed to take pictures so I didn't have much from there. I managed to sneakily take a photo of the Erotic Museum...

It's a church around that area - Oude Kerk

The 'Red Light' marking the areas. It's interesting to see with various girls parading in innerwear on the windows of shops and waiting for men to knock on their doors. Other than that, hmm

This marks Day 2 - breakfast. :) It's so hearty - look - bread and cereal and orange juice. There's also coffee and tea which I didn't take.

Healthy cereal

Various jams and peanut butter and there's also a chocolate one (not shown)!

Bread and various erm meat - ham? and cheese too

The oddest thing on the table was the chocolate sprinkles....so unique

Sugar - a Dutch brand I think...

There's the men

Showers

It's not clear here - but I wanted to show that there's a nude beach a distance away...

Trucks selling food

I forgot what it's called - it's boneless fried fish yummy

And this is some kind of herring, I think somewhat cooked but urgh I don't like. Ryan finished it, he didn't mind it

That's where I got the fish from

That's our deck chair

We also bought ice cream from this truck just outside the beach

We got to the station and saw this! Woo how cool, coin operated food selling thing. Haha.

There's a fake beach on the NEMO building

With the ticket, we get free drinks - some orange cocktail in a glass made of pure ice....

Our waiting identification

Provided us with thick coats and gloves

End of day 2

Day 3 - decided to take the bike but it was horrible cause the seat was too high for me and I can't ride it properly so I kept falling on the streets! It was so so horrible and I scraped my knee like freaking so many times.... but I still managed to cycle through a number of places...

One of the parks we cycled to

My slice of cake( don't know what) and coffee

Van Gogh - we weren't allow photos so thats the only one I took

We finally go back home, wet and exhausted. It rained so hard when we were on the way back to the hostel and I slipped and fell again and that was just enough for me and I started crying and my knee hurt cause it was bleeding and I am totally soaked I just felt so miserable. I begged Ryan to just walk back, I couldn't take it anymore... so we got back and washed ourselves and then decided we needed to eat. Went to the station and got some fast food at Smullers....

Chicken burger

And then day 4 - we thought we should try out the Dutch specialty - cannabis

Trips

These are some of things I've bought for my trips during my holidays..

I'm going to a music festival which requires camping out and so I got a tent from ebay.

I also bought a sleeping tent.

Tickets to the music festival - Creamfields

I bought this for going to Amsterdam cause I am planning to go to the beach while I am there and therefore thought it reasonable to get a waterproof pouch to the beach cause I don't want to leave my things at the beach without supervision. Bought from ebay as well.

Ryan got this for me, a travel bag.

And these are musical tickets to Oliver! in London!!

I got this for the trip and I filled it up with sun lotion.

I also got this spray bottle for the aftercare lotion for my piercing.

Second piercing from bottom.

I went to Claire's and the package includes an after care lotion which I have to apply for 6 weeks...
